The 15-Note System that built my voice
15 intentional Notes written in one writing Block
I used to hate short-form writing.
18 months ago I did not enjoy consuming or creating short-form writing. It just felt shallow and performative…
I came to Substack to write long-form essays with substance. That is what initially attracted me to this platform. But no matter how much care I put into my essays, they went mostly unnoticed.
I’d spend twenty hours on a piece, publish it and nothing would happen. No comments, no engagement and no real sense of momentum. As I’m not on other social media platforms, I had no other way of reaching people. Not only that, I had no real way to find writing or writers I was interested in, other than trying to search for them.
So when they rolled out Notes I decided to give it a try. What started as a reluctant experiment turned into something far more profound.
One year ago, I was still writing into the void. I had a handful of readers, no real momentum, and the creeping doubt that maybe I was wasting my time.
Today, this newsletter has grown to over 5,000 subscribers without focusing on growth at all. The turning point wasn’t a viral essay.
It was a system I created out of necessity, one that helped me stay visible, connected, and creatively alive.
It’s called The 15-Note System.
This system has now become the foundation for everything I do.
Here’s what you can expect from implementing it.
You’ll have a repeatable system that makes short-form feel natural and structured, not chaotic and random.
You’ll start to notice ideas sticking, themes emerging, and a voice that sounds unmistakably like you.
You’ll stop second-guessing every post and finally publish with clarity and confidence.
You’ll begin attracting people who actually get your worldview, and want more of it.
This system prevents fragmented thinking, it channels your voice, you’ll feel less overwhelmed and more anchored with structured short form at the centre of your creative practice.
This is built for you if you’ve ever felt like…
You’re pouring your soul into long-form essays… and still being ignored.
Everyone else seems to “get” Notes while you just feel lost or performative.
You want to grow but not at the cost of your voice or integrity.
You know you’re capable of more… but you’re tired of reinventing the wheel every week.
What’s inside:
Video walkthroughs of every step so you never get stuck
The 15-Note Planner (Notion template). The weekly system I use to write Notes with flow and cohesion
My private swipe file of proven Notes, with examples across 5 high performing formats.
The categorisation method that prevents repetition and fragmentation
The short-form workflow that turned everything around for me
If you get it in the next 48 hours I’ll throw in a bonus video:
→ How I write a weeks worth of Notes in one sitting that connect emotionally and fit a cohesive narrative arc.
This system is already being used by dozens of writers across Substack.
They’re writing with intention, thinking more clearly and finally seeing traction because they found a rhythm that fits.
→ Start writing with rhythm, not pressure
If you’ve struggled with short-form, you’re not alone.
But that struggle doesn’t have to continue.
This is how you stop writing into the void and start building a body of work that resonates.
Thanks for reading and enjoy the rest of your day.
I’ll see you inside

Thank you! This connected with me. I'm used to creating more of the long-form content, but this advice helped. Thank you for your work!
This really resonates. I went through a similar shift—realizing systems don’t limit creativity, they sustain it.
It’s wild how clarity and rhythm can turn scattered ideas into something cohesive and alive. Been exploring that same theme lately in my Notes too.
