I’ve also been copying and pasting some of my own comments on others’ posts into my notes app on my phone when I feel like my writing was really me. I’m saving those comments as examples of when my voice felt authentic to help spark ideas or even use in my own future posts. I don’t comment on every post I read, of course, but tend to comment on ones that probably have the same audience, not as a way to promote myself at all, but because I feel authentically engaged in the conversation happening. I think this has helped me develop my voice more for sure.
This came at the perfect time for me. I’m just a month or two in, and the crickets have been deafening. Reading this pulled me back from the cliff of desperation. Thank you!🙏
I really enjoyed the read, your post was insightful and hit a lot of interesting points. Yep, being seen can be a challenge for sure. But if you're sharing something that can help actually help people, like you did here, the cream will always come to the top! Thanks for making the effort 👌
Thanks for this great advice! I still have your 2 Hour Creator course in my to do list 😊, but in the meantime, these articles have helped guide me as I finally published another post yesterday after a several month break! I’m dealing with some imposter syndrome with my latest post because I don’t have the same formal (interior design) training as others in my genre on here so I was delaying sending my thoughts out there. But it feels good just to have finished another article and hit publish! And I’ll keep reminding myself that I’m not looking to be an expert anyway - that’s not the voice I’m going for. So thanks for the encouragement to not worry about it!
